I spent 17 years in media, honing my eye for storytelling. Always searching for something that fits my values more, I went back to school to become a Certified Nutritional Practitioner with IHN. My nutrition niche was with the ladies and their babes (pre-natal, pregnancy, postpartum, babies and children). Then I built a thriving doTERRA business. My favourite part of each chapter was always the design — creating flyers, websites, or business cards — without realizing that it could be my career. It wasn’t until 2021 that I accepted the call to creativity. Higher Heart Creative was born, and I loved finally being in the design space, serving people who are making a difference.

You’re not going to worry about being ghosted, timelines dragging out, or someone not taking your business seriously. I’m a farm girl, a mom, and have been in this business long enough to see you through every step of the process.

Life has thrown me plenty of curveballs (looking at you raising teens in the pandemic and a near-fatal ski accident for my husband in 2024). At Higher Heart Creative, I’m here to build you a website that withstands the ups and downs of business and life, resilient through and through.

How we got here

1995 - 2011 – Newsroom beginnings
Started a 17-year journey in TV broadcasting that started in high school. Learned how to tell a story fast, think on my feet, and chase the truth (with good lighting). I left for good during maternity leave.
2008 - 2016 – Pivot to wellness
Went back to school for holistic nutrition. Started seeing clients, speaking at trade shows, and helping new moms feel more empowered in their bodies and with the health of their babies and children.
2014 - 2021 – doTERRA & design on the side
Built a successful doTERRA business and became more involved in learning how to sell and build a business.
2021 – Higher Heart Creative is born
The pandemic slowed things down and stirred something up. I finally said yes to my creative side and started building websites full-time for heart-led entrepreneurs.
2024 – A life reset
After almost losing my husband in a ski accident, I reassessed everything. I streamlined my offers, tightened my boundaries, and got clearer on how I want to show up for clients, family, and myself.
Today – Serving with heart
Designing Squarespace websites for values-first businesses run by women (and the occasional man). Living slow-ish on a bit of land (with some diva hens) in Ontario. Letting creativity, community, and God lead the way.
